Role Description
This is a contract role for a Designated Interpreter. The Designated Interpreter will be responsible for providing on-site interpretation services in classroom and medical settings in Los Angeles, CA. The day-to-day tasks may include interpreting spoken language into sign language, assisting with technology for best accessibility, and facilitating effective communication between medical professionals, professors, peers and patients.
Qualifications
Fluency in sign language Proficiency in spoken language interpretation Knowledge of medical and healthcare terminology Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA Excellent communication skills Prior experience as an interpreter in the healthcare industry is a plus Certification in interpretation or related field is preferred
