Associate Dean of Research
Africa Business School
Under the direct responsibility of the Dean of Research, the Associate Dean of Research will ensure leadership and support for the Institution in advancing its research mission. The ADR provides visionary leadership in research, empowers faculty researchers to develop their research, and facilitates partnerships with the public and private sectors. They are a key contact for department heads and faculty with the goal of enhancing the qualitative aspect and research activities of ABS. The ADR will liaise with the research committee and organize/manage research groups and projects across different departments. In collaboration with the Office of Research, the ADR manages the grant application process within the Institution and maintains relationships with external entities, both public and private, to develop partnerships.

The ADR serves on the research committee and is the right-hand person of the Dean of Research. Their tasks include, among others, facilitating all aspects of research activity within the institution, assisting faculty in obtaining funding and partnerships, overseeing compliance with ABS's strategic directives and policies, and participating in the development of the Institution's strategy and educational direction.

Missions:

You are responsible for French and international accreditation processes. In interaction with all the school's teams (Programs, Faculty, Corporate Relations, International Relations...) and with French and international accreditation agencies, you are in charge of managing the quality evaluation processes of EDC's programs. The main missions are:

- Master the requirements of accreditation agencies and their developments (CEFDG, CGE, BSIS, RNCP, AACSB, EQUIS, EFMD, AMBA)
- Raise awareness among internal stakeholders about the expectations of accreditation agencies, identify changes and inform internal stakeholders, conduct monitoring;
- Prepare the elements expected by accreditation agencies, ensure their coherence and robustness both internally and externally;
- Write evaluation reports and annual reporting, ensure their accuracy and quality;
- Prepare and organize documentation for auditors;
- Organize audit visits, coordinate the logistical and organizational aspects of audits;
- Follow up on recommendations made by accreditation agencies, internally and externally.

Le Responsable académique assure l’optimisation des contenus des programmes de formation dispensés à l’institut, l’excellence de l’enseignement dispensé, et le soutien pour la réussite étudiante.

Il se porte garant de la mise en œuvre et du respect des procédures de qualité académique.

Il pilote le recrutement des intervenants internes/externes ainsi que leur évaluation.

Il assure la mise à jour régulière et la pertinence des documents de programmes et communications à l’équipe enseignante et aux étudiants, en continuité avec le conseil académique de l’institution.

Il garantit la transparence et équité de traitement et de suivi des étudiants.

Il s'agit d'un poste dynamique qui exige des fonctions transversales de supervision, de gestion et d'exploitation.

Le rôle du Responsable académique exige une connaissance approfondie de l'enseignement en arts culinaires, en gestion dans les milieux de la restauration et des industries alimentaires.

Le responsable académique doit également connaitre et maitriser les principes de conception et d’élaboration des programmes d'enseignement, ainsi que les meilleures pratiques pour les enseignements théoriques et pratiques de programmes professionnels et d’enseignement supérieur en collaboration avec nos partenaires universitaires.
