Seniors Vs. Crime Seniors vs Crime (SVC), a special project of the Florida Attorney’s Office, is seeking to fill the position of Regional Director for Region 5, which encompasses the Panhandle. Thi... s is a part-time position that requires 80 hours of work per month. Work primarily from your home and you schedule your own hours. Responsible for overseeing all SVC activity in the Region, primarily generated by three offices, Navarre, Crestview, and Tallahassee, and filing monthly reports. Dedicated senior volunteers staff all offices. The Regional Director (RD) is part of the command staff and has the overall responsibility for all operations within the region. The missions are to educate the public on scams and to right civil wrongs done to the public by negotiating with the perp to get the money back. Criminal cases are referred to law enforcement. The offices work on civil cases. Seniors Vs. Crime (SVC) returns $2,000,000 a year from all its offices. The RD will provide training for new volunteers, develop new offices, install new managers, coordinate with law enforcement agencies, forge alliances with senior-oriented groups within the Region, solicit volunteers to do the work, and solicit new civil complaints. The RD reports the work done on the missions monthly to the Executive Director who sends all office activity to the Office of the Attorney General.
