This is a Full-Time role working at Our House in SE Portland. The schedule for this role is Sunday-Thursday 6:30am-3:00pm

Starting pay is $32.04 hr which is equivalent to just over $64k yr. Pay for LPN increases with tenure and the top of the pay scale is $35.79 This is a union represented position, so the compensation, benefits and conditions of work are collectively bargained.

Who You Are

Unencumbered nursing license in the state of Oregon
Basic Life Support card
Ability to pass DHS background check
One year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
Motivation to work with persons living with HIV, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) or behavioral health supports and require all levels of care.
Commitment to advancing equity and inclusion in workplace or community settings
Desire and ability to engage in equity and inclusion initiatives and discussions in the workplace, including but not limited to: engaging in training workshops, team and department meetings, and commitment to advancing equity and inclusion in workplace or community setting.


What You’ll Do

Performs nursing procedures in accordance with licensure and skill level, utilizing principles of safety and infection control.
Ability to explain treatments and conditions to patients of all ages and diverse populations
Provides assistance with activities of daily living.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
Works in collaboration with resident’s primary care provider, clinical staff, and support system.
Administers and documents medications and treatments using electronic medication administration record.

NHBS Community Health Interviewer/HIV Test Counselor
Portland State University
This position will conduct interviews and HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) counseling and testing for the Portland National HIV Behavioral Surveillance (NHBS) 2024 data collection cycle. This position will receive direction from the Project Manager, Field Operations Manager, and Assistant Field Supervisor. This position will be housed at Portland State University with travel to the Portland State Office Building (800 NE Oregon Street, Portland) and throughout the Portland metropolitan statistical area.

Job duties will include:
Screening participants for eligibility and obtaining informed consent.
Completing computer assisted interviews with participants. After required training, you will use CDC-approved survey software to conduct in-depth standardized interviews and enter survey data.
Conducting HIV and HCV testing and counseling. After required training, you will collect blood specimens for HIV and HCV testing via finger sticks, provide HIV and HCV test results and pre- and post-test counseling, and enter testing data.
Participating in meetings with the research team and in evaluations and feedback on interviewing and testing procedures
Assisting full time staff with obtaining and returning participant incentives at the beginning and end of assigned shifts.
Working non-traditional hours as needed—some interviewing/testing sessions may take place late in the evening or on weekends

The Lead Therapist, an independently licensed clinician, will offer evidence-based group, individual, and family therapy to adults participating in our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). They will apply the best practices of group counseling techniques to assist patients effectively. Additionally, the Lead Therapist will directly support pre-licensed associate clinicians and pre-doctoral externs.

In addition to their therapeutic role, the Lead Therapist will undertake certain administrative responsibilities. These include supervising a Master’s student intern, leading team meetings, and creating new programming, among other tasks.

Attendance and presence required for IOP programming and associated staff meetings (3 days a week/4 hours total per week), along with an individual caseload of 6 patients, 1 intake, and 7 hours of group (18 clinical contact hours per week).
