The EUP Regional Planning and Development Commission seeks to hire a Bookkeeper/Finance person to fill a part-time position (20-25 hours per week). EUPRPDC is seeking an energetic, talented professional to support its various grant and contract funded programs for the Eastern Upper Peninsula region. This position would be responsible for accounts payable, payroll, some human resources functions, grant drawdowns and various other financial and reporting tasks as needed. Under the supervision of the Director, this position is responsible for working on various elements of the Commission’s work program. The Bookkeeper/Finance position performs various tasks associated with the day-to-day administration of the Eastern UP Regional Planning and Development Commission. This is a part-time position – at minimum 20 hours per work week.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintains files (electronic and paper) and processes a variety of incoming and outgoing paperwork.

2. Maintains an accounting system to track revenues and expenditures.

3. Processes timesheets, paychecks, and related tasks related to employee benefits.

4. Ensures that taxes and other operating expenses are processed in a timely manner.

5. Processes incoming and outgoing invoices on all agency grant programs.

6. Submits invoices and financial reports as required by Granting Agencies (federal, state, local, other).

7. Maintains the necessary equipment and software required to provide administrative services.

8. Submits State and Federal Quarterly/Annual Reports

9. Provides progress reports to CEO/Executive Director.
