One Utah Service Fellowship Program Assistant
One Utah Service Fellowship coordinated by Utah State University
The One Utah Service Fellowship (OUSF) Program Assistant (Program Assistant III) will assist with the management of the One Utah Service Fellowship Program and AmeriCorps grant. This position works under the direction of the OUSF Program Director. This will be an in-office position with a hybrid option available after 120 days of employment. Periodic travel to host partner sites is required. This is a permanent position that is contingent on continued grant and state appropriated funding.



The One Utah Service Fellowship (OUSF) project aims to address Utah's critical needs while improving the preparation for and prospects of success in post-secondary education or training for young adults (18+) by providing meaningful service opportunities (100-1,700 hours) in Healthy Futures, Education, and Capacity Building.

The Development Director is responsible for managing, coordinating, and achieving revenue goals to support organizational priorities. This position works closely with the Executive Director and the Advisory Board to lead, support, and achieve all fundraising activities through building relationships with corporations, foundations, individuals, organizations, and government entities. In collaboration with the Executive Director, this position will lead in the development and implementation of the CP Texas fundraising plan including grants, events, and all solicitations as well as the design and implementation of the CP Texas marketing and communications plan. Oversees the budgeting, purchasing, supply management, operational and personnel functions of the office.
Establishes and maintains financial, grants managements and other administrative records.
Works with program staff to assist sub-grantees in modifying budgets as necessary ensuring such modifications are in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Works with program staff to review, critique, and make reimbursement recommendations regarding sub-grantee requests for funds ensuring that payments are executed according to state and federal guidelines.
Provides the training and technical assistance to the Commission, staff members, sub-grantees, and potential applicants regarding budget development and financial management.
Conducts, in concert with program staff, in semi-annual assessments of the sub-grantees’ financial management practices providing recommendations to assure quality, and continuous improvements in systems.
In cooperation with the Office of Finance and Resource Management, prepares comprehensive fiscal reports, as requested; provides evaluations and analysis; and coordinates the preparation of financial reports to the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Researches current rules, regulations and guidelines as related to federal grant management and maintenance of effective financial management systems.
Directs multiple projects, and coordinates activities of numerous and diverse financial/accounting services. Identifies emerging financial, operational and policy issues, and advises the Director of cost-effective resolutions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

The CFO partners with executive leadership and board of directors to develop and implement strategies across the organization.
