Professional Development Coordinator
Center for Public Health Continuing Education he Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of statewide education and training initiatives provided through a MOU between the NYSDOH and the... University at Albany School of Public Health. They will lead the Center's efforts in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned training projects for the public health and health care workforce.
Essential Functions: Lead and coordinate assigned training project(s) to assure quality programs that meet project-based deliverables on time and within budget.
Responsibilities include:
Serving as the primary liaison with the NYSDOH and subject matter experts/instructors Preparing annual training schedules Working directly with subject matter experts to review, update and develop training curricula/content (including PPT slides, interactive components, materials and handouts) Developing/updating promotional materials and managing registration; tracking registration fees (as needed) Working with the CE Manager to secure/maintain continuing education credits (as needed) Producing live webinars including opening, closing and facilitation (instructors will deliver content) Maintaining email and phone communication with training registrants Coordinating evaluation efforts including needs assessments Coordinating with the Professional Development program to offer on-demand training (as needed) Preparing quarterly reports Additional responsibilities Proposal writing and/or grant writing Other Functions
Upstate New York Poison Center This position is responsible for the implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of a structured poison presentation program targeting the general public throughout the Poison Ce... nter's catchment area (with a focus on the northern and eastern parts of New York). Will participate in the design of poison prevention education programs and in the development of program related materials. Position requires ability to network and develop partnerships in the community for the purpose of collaborating on educational programming and education. Poison Prevention Month activities will be a prime focus area.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or Health Education or related field and 1-2 years of teaching/training experience plus excellent public speaking, written/oral communication and interpersonal skills required.
Transportation is needed for traveling to educational presentations.
Preferred Qualifications: A Master's in Public Health or Public Administration preferred
