Women and Infants Hospital The Clinical Practice Manager/Clinical Nurse Specialist (CPM/CNS) demonstrates excellence in clinical nursing by serving as a professional role model, expert consultant, educator,... and resource in managing and developing clinical nursing practice. In collaboration with the nursing director/manager and nursing staff, assesses, plans, designs, organizes, implements and evaluates the professional development and educational activities to address identified or anticipated needs of learners. Leads and collaborates with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to partner for practice transitions, improve the quality, safety, and outcomes of patient care. Analyze clinical and non-clinical variables to influence, supervise, manage or oversee patient care needs, and predict and manage responses and resources. Actively participates in research creating a culture of scientific inquiry and evidence-based practice. Demonstrates excellence in providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients and their families, as required. Aligns with the mission, vision and values, and strategic goals of the organization. CPM/CNS will be required to flex their schedule to meet the orientation and education needs of the nursing staff and orientees.
