Emmons & Olivier Resources, Inc. (EOR) is seeking a Renewable Energy Permitting Specialist to join our rapidly growing Renewable Energy team in our St Paul MN or Madison WI office. EOR is an engineering and environmental consulting firm that specializes in: WATER (watersheds + water resources), ECOLOGY (ecosystems + natural resources) and COMMUNITY (civil engineering, landscape architecture + planning). Duties and Responsibilities
This role will collaborate to support projects that include solar, wind, utility, utility transmission and emerging energy projects. In this role you will:
Work with local governments in the permitting processes
Travel to and attend public meetings within the upper Midwest
Be an active team member on a wide variety of renewable energy projects
Build relationships and make business development connections within the renewable energy sector
Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Planning or related field of study
5+ year of experience with local and state environmental reviews/permitting
Education/Experience Preferred:
1+ year of experience within renewable energy
1+ year of business development, ideally with a renewable energy focus
Motivation and commitment to renewable energy
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with colleagues and clients, strong oral and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and efficient in problem-solving
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
Ability to travel locally frequently with occasional overnights
Location: based out of our St. Paul MN or Madison WI offices with work from home flexibility, or a fully remote candidate located ideally in Chicago or Peoria IL.

Home Energy Program Analyst - Project Position

The Home Energy Program Analyst (Program and Policy Analyst Adv) for the Focus on Energy team. The position will perform duties related to the planning and implementation of a new large-scale home energy program for residential and multi-family residences across Wisconsin.
The position will be responsible for program planning and analysis duties and will lead collaborative efforts to develop innovative programs that integrate smoothly with an existing statewide energy efficiency program. The position will provide support for the oversight of third-party program administrators and implementers to ensure that program delivery and implementation strictly comply with Wisconsin state statutes and Department of Energy program requirements. The position will work closely with other staff leads of OEI and will require excellent communication and collaboration skills to protect the integrity of these programs while ensuring they are meeting the needs of customers.
