They will manage and supervise functions related to operations, warehouse/supply chain, human resources, QHSE, facilities, and IT. They will be the day to day lead responsible for the connections across the delivery organization and finance including project management, customer support, engineering, and compliance to ensure internal processes are followed and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
The Senior Operations Manager will manage gaps and resolve cross-departmental gaps and conflict; support the staff and their teams interpret, understand, and carry out the President of KUTL’s strategic vision and intent. In addition, this position will help the leadership team prioritize projects and business impacts so that each team is moving forward with only the most important work. They will also manage business rhythms such as leadership meetings and internal processes.

Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of operations to ensure smooth progress and operational excellence as Kongsberg Underwater Technology LLC grows in both size and complexity. The salesperson will collaborate with product managers, inside sales and vendors, and other internal and external resources to actively manage the territory. The salesperson will focus on driving sustainable, profitable growth and long-term customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Actively manage and expand existing customer relationships
Will require the ability to perform ship checks on board vessels for customers. This will include entering confined spaces such as ballast tanks and machinery spaces for purposes of identifying and measuring valves and other system components. This can be physically demanding.
Focused direct sales efforts on new customers, prospects, and architect/marine engineering firms.
Maintain Customer Contact information and Opportunities/Reporting in CRM.
Act as main technical and material resource for customer base. This includes direct calling effort and interaction with customer engineering.
Promote and organize training and product familiarization for customers.
Be aware of industry pricing trends and manage margins within market/customer segmentation.
Monitor competition and competitive threats.
Participate in key industry trade shows, conferences and associations as directed
Actively seek to develop new products and service opportunities.

SUMMARY
This Senior Level Labor Relations position requires a seasoned professional with over 15 years of director-level experience in labor relations, particularly within the ILWU maritime sector. The role focuses on strategic oversight of labor operations in Southern California, reporting to the Vice President of Labor Relations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to build high-performing teams, and a people-centered approach.
This role is designed to expand the reach and breadth of daily labor operations oversight provided by PMA’s highest volume port Area. Reporting to the Vice President of Labor Relations, Southern California, and working closely with the Assistant Area Directors, the Senior Director is responsible for the development and execution of labor relations strategy in Southern California. The Senior Area Director integrates LR strategies with other functional areas including, but not limited to training, benefits, administrative services, and allocations to enhance coordination and improve efficiency.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in labor relations, maritime, economics, or related field. 15+ years of director-level labor relations experience. Experience in the maritime industry, including ILWU.
