Air Traffic Environment Expert

As ATM Environment Expert, you are part of the Environmental Team of skeyes. You contribute to the continous optimization of Environmental Performance relating to Air Traffic Management (ATM) by analyzing, managing and following up the environmental activities, more specifically in the field of greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution.

You report to the Manager Strategy, Performance and Environment within the Directorate Strategy and Implementation. The optimization of Environmental Performance is as strategic priority for skeyes.

You monitor and analyse the environmental performance, identify improvement areas and propose initiatives leading to improvements.

You collect, manage and analyse performance data as well as customer feedback, you act transversally throughout the company in close collaboration with our operational units.

You collaborate with stakeholders (airports, airlines, authorities …) a.o. in the framework of a Collaborative Environmental Management (CEM).

You carry out and follow up environmental investigations at the request of various stakeholders.

You coordinate the conduct of projects in collaboration with your Manager. You draw up and publish environment-related reports.

You actively participate in the continuous improvement of the organisation and processes.

ATM System Engineer (Radar)

As a System Engineer in Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems you participate in projects and studies for the renewal of our Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems and their continuous maintenance and improvement.

Our air traffic controllers rely on these specially developed systems in order to guarantee safe and efficient air navigation. They mainly handle the processing of flight plans, radar data, weather and aeronautical information and air traffic controller inputs. Moreover, they provide the air traffic controllers with a real-time overview of all the flights they control and provide a large array of tools (planning windows, safety nets,…) to offer sufficient capacity and optimal safe conditions in the controlled airspace.

Senior Operational Business & Functional Analyst

Translating the wishes of air traffic controllers or the training organisation into functional requirements that can be understood by the developers and can be used for the further development of air traffic control systems. This includes among other things that you:
translate the periodic changes in operational procedures and airspace (AIRAC) into changes in the current air traffic control system so that air traffic controllers can always work with the correct information;
coordinate the information obtained from the developers with the end-user and ensure that the end-user and the developer have the same interpretation of the changes that are required;
support the transition team during the conversion from the old to the new system;
actively participate in the testing and validation of the air traffic control systems;
are responsible for changes to the operational system that is used 24/7.
