Winfield is located in Falmouth, just north of Portland, Maine. Recently celebrating its 30th anniversary, Winfield currently serves approx. 100 students from 15 months through 6 years old. We have two classrooms for children 16 months - 3 years, as well as four Early Childhood classrooms, for children 3-6 years old. During the summer months, a small nature and art camp program is offered to our enrolled students. Winfield has a full-time Outdoor Educator and Art teacher on staff.

Experience in a Montess... ori preschool is a plus, but more important is a recognition of the importance of a solid EC program, and a curiosity to learn more.
In the morning you will support the Assistant Head of School in the office. You will be our internal substitute teacher and an extra hand to help the classrooms with projects and field trips. In the afternoon you will join a Toddler or Preschool classroom for their enrichment programming and then end the day with our small group of After Care students.
You will be part of the wider Winfield community made up of two Toddler classrooms for children 16 months through 3 years, and four Early Childhood classrooms, for children 3-6 years old. Our full-time Outdoor Educator and Art teacher round out our talented and caring teaching staff.
Responsibilities:
Follow schedules and routines Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents and co-workers Communicate with parents and prospective families about our programs. Maintain the health and safety of all students Complete general office tasks including but not limited to answering phones, writing school wide notices, updating social media pages, maintaining files, and covering for staff breaks.
