PhD Position in Computer Engineering -- Deep Learning in IoT
Osnabrueck University
If you are interested in reconfigurable computing, deep learning and partial reconfiguration, this could be of interest for you:

The Computer Engineering research group of the Institute of Computer Science at Osnabrueck University, Germany, invites applications for a
Research Assistant (m/f/d) (Salary level E 13 TV-L, 100 %)
The starting date for this position is 1st of November 2020. The contract is given for 3 years.

You will be part of the new EU Horizon 2020 project "Very Efficient Deep Learning in IoT" (VEDLIoT). In this interdisciplinary project, Osnabrück University and its European partners are exploring new concepts to collaboratively solve complex deep learning applications on distributed IoT devices. For this, VEDLIoT allows dividing machine learning applications into small, efficient components that can run on IoT nodes and edge devices as well as in cloud environments. Your research activities within VEDLIoT will focus on the resource-efficient implementation of distributed ML algorithms on heterogeneous hardware-software platforms. For increasing performance and energy efficiency, you use, e.g., the possibility to adapt FPGAs to changing operational conditions by dynamic reconfiguration at runtime.

Further details are provided via the link below. If you are interested in this position, don't hesitate to contact me or directly send me your application.
