Geophysicist IV

Currently, HGL has a position open for a Geophysicist IV with a strong background in the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) and advanced geophysical classification (AGC).The person hired may work remotely or at an HGL office. The Denver, CO office is the preferred office location.

The ideal candidate will need the following as a foundation for success in this role:
8 years of hands-on experience with utilizing geophysical techniques in support of munitions (UXO) projects to include RI/FS and removal actions.
Demonstrated knowledge/experience with advanced classification sensors (e.g., Metal Mapper family, APEX, UltraTem, MPV) and UX-Analyze data processing and analysis software.
Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics or Geology

The person hired for this role will be responsible for:
Planning and design of geophysical surveys with the geophysical team and PMs.
Support of proposals.
QAPP development.
Incorporate quality standards during the collection/processing of geophysical survey data.
Coordination with the PM and QC department for reviews of the data prior to client submittal.
Support PMs with SPP, TPP, and quality reviews by the customer during project education.
Data analysis of advanced classification data (field and office) and development of prioritized target dig sheets.
Developing the skills and capabilities of the staff on your projects.
