Aquatic Technician
Aquatic Control Inc. Aquatic Control Inc. is a privately owned lake and pond management company that specializes in aquatic vegetation control, fisheries management, and fountain/aeration installation... and repair. We are hiring a full-time entry-level aquatic technician at our Canton, IL, Valparaiso, IN, and Evansville, IN office.
Duties to include the following:
EPA registered aquatic herbicide and algaecide application Installation and maintenance of aerators, fountains, and compressed air systems Aquatic plant surveys Assisting with and writing vegetation management plans Fish management surveys Assisting with fish survey reports Data entry and management General maintenance of trucks, boats, equipment, and grounds Speaking at pond clinics, trade shows, conferences, and public meetings
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in fisheries/aquatic science, agriculture, or a natural resources related field Experience with aquatic vegetation identification GPS and GIS experience Must pass mandatory drug test and DOT physical prior to start date Basic mechanical ability (experience in outboard motor operation is a plus) Ability to work in an outdoor environment (physical labor required) Ability to work an average of 50-60 hours per week during the summer Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Compensation:
