The Foster Care Case Manager is responsible for:
Coordinating services and resources for youth and families being served as well as ensuring that foster parents maintain compliance with established standards. The Case Manager is responsible for documentation and files for all foster parents and foster children assigned to their caseloads.
This position will travel between Buncombe, Haywood and surrounding counties.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field from a four-year college or university required
• Two years of previous work experience in a related field required
• Qualified Professional (QP)

Recruiter Trainer

Children’s Hope Alliance would like to announce a job opening for the Full time position of Foster Care Recruiter/Trainer in Banner Elk NC. This position will include travel to Avery, Watauga, Mitchell, and surrounding counties.
The Foster Care Recruiter/Trainer is responsible for:
recruiting, training, and licensing families pursuing either family, therapeutic, or IAFT foster parent licensing as well as coordinating placement of foster children in their region. The recruiter/trainer coordinates and participates in ongoing training of foster parents throughout the year including model related topics, CPR and First Aid and MAR, as well as any other training needs in their region.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree from accredited College in Psychology, Social Work, or related field and previous work experience in related field is required.
· Certification in a state-mandated foster parent training curriculum or the ability to gain certification is also required.
· Experience in the Teaching-Family Model preferred.
· Previous experience providing case management/supervising foster care services preferred.
· Experience recruiting or training foster parents preferred

The Caseworker/Consultant is responsible for insuring that the programs maintain a therapeutic family-style treatment environment utilizing the Teaching Family Model. Responsibilities include support and development toward Teaching Family Model certification of assigned Family Teachers and Assistant Family Teachers; and achievement of satisfaction criteria by Overnight Family Teachers.
