Visiting Assistant Professor of Socio/Cultural Psychology
Denison University The Department of Psychology at Denison seeks applicants for a three-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 2023. We are looking to hire a social or cultural psychologist with a specialization in race, ethnicity and/or diversity science. The teaching load is 6 courses per academic year. The successful candidate will teach a range of courses including Cultural Psychology, Social Psychology, an intermediate level research course, electives within the psychology curriculum that engage with issues of diversity and inclusion (e.g. Psychology of Diversity), an upper-level seminar in the candidate’s area of specialty, and Introductory Psychology (which includes a significant laboratory component).
We seek individuals who are committed to a liberal arts education and helping undergraduate students to understand and appreciate psychological science and its applications. Working closely with students is a primary responsibility of the job, and we seek individuals who are motivated to educate and support a diverse student body. As a department, we strive to develop our students’ critical and scientific reasoning skills as well as foster an engaged and inclusive community of scholars that values a diversity of individuals and perspectives.
Departmental and institutional support is available for teaching and research. Support includes Denison’s Center for Learning and Teaching, shared research space, and the opportunity to apply for grants from the Denison University Research Foundation and stipends for supervising summer-research students. Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology
Amherst College The Department of Psychology at Amherst College invites applications for a full-time two-year visiting appointment at the rank of assistant professor, beginning on July 1, 2023. This position is ideal for candidates with a Ph.D. in social psychology and a strong commitment to teaching and an active research program that can involve bright undergraduates from diverse backgrounds; experience teaching undergraduates is preferred. The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of courses, including introductory psychology, an intermediate level course (e.g., Social Psychology), and an upper-level research seminar in the candidate’s area of interest. We are especially interested in candidates whose research focuses on questions related to culture, race, or ethnicity. The teaching load is two courses each semester. The successful candidate will also be expected to advise honors theses. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in social psychology in hand or have fulfilled all requirements for the degree by the start of the appointment.

Assistant Professor -Clinical
Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi The Department of Psychology & Sociology at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology position beginning fall of 2023. The area of specialization is open, and applicants with expertise in all areas of clinical psychology are invited to apply. We especially encourage applications from candidates with expertise and training in child, adolescent, or school psychology. Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Rural Mental and Behavioral Health
Colorado State University The Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) at Colorado State University (CSU) invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position in rural mental and behavioral health. CSU is launching an interdisciplinary mental and behavioral health initiative in which we will build on existing strengths across multiple programs (e.g., HDFS, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Health and Exercise Science, Psychology) to develop new degree programs and training options, build interdisciplinary research programs that involve new and innovative approaches to mental and behavioral health, and engage with communities to co-create solutions to mental and behavioral health challenges. To jumpstart this initiative, we are launching a multi-college cluster hire of 10-12 positions over the next two years to address core issues of mental and behavioral health, with special emphasis on the treatment and prevention of depression, suicide, addictions, and trauma, toward the broad goal of fostering resilience and promoting wellness. The cluster hire is informed by our land-grant mission to serve the state, and through it, we are committed to serving and engaging rural and historically underserved populations. With this initiative, we will create a future-oriented approach to mental and behavioral health wellness. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology by time of appointment with a strong commitment to undergraduate education, mentoring student research, advising, and supervising internships.
