The Early Education Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting Lead Teacher with the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care, which may include toddlers and/or preschool age children; develops partnerships with birth parents/child’s caregivers to engage and encourage parent participation in program. The assistant Teacher is also responsible for assuring compliance with codes of all Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and local governing contracting agencies; and works collegially with other staff members of Red Brick Childcare.

EDUCATION
•High School Diploma or Equivalent and or Associates in ECE with courses in Child Development or Early Childhood Education including core courses in Child/Human Growth and Development; Child, Family and Community and Program/Curriculum, or a CDA credential, or

CPL level of 3 preferred.
•Two years teaching experience.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
•Early Child Development knowledge and experience.
•Knowledge in Desired Results, Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
•Knowledge of Ohio’s Department of Job and Family Services Rules & Regulations for Childcare centers and Step Up to Quality rules.
•Good communication, problem solving, and priority setting skills as well as maintaining an overall positive and professional attitude /disposition.
•Ability to use the computer to input developmental data.
•Ability to effectively assist plan, organize and implement educational activities.
•Ability to make decisions on behalf of children and protect their well-being. • Must be able to manage confidential information.
•Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and in case of emergency a 40-pound child.
•Must have the ability to pass FBI & BCI background checks.

Lead Teacher
Inspired Kids Learning Center LLC
Inspired Kids Learning Center LLC is currently seeking full time and part time Lead Toddler Teacher who loves working with children ages 18 months to 2 years old, watching them grow, and helping them advance their cognitive skills.
Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. All full time positions are eligible for paid holidays after 90 days of employment.
Candidate Requirements:
High School Diploma; CDA or higher education is preferred
Prior experience within an ODJFS child care or teachers who has worked in early childhood education is preferred.
Teachers who are familiar with Step Up to Quality and who have SUTQ classes are a plus.
All new child care teachers must be 18 years of age.
At least 1 year of experience working with Toddlers and Preschoolers (1-5 years old)
Must be able to meet all Ohio State Licensing requirements including but not limited to medical, BCI and FBI Background checks.
Have a current CPR and First Aid certification.
Must be able to complete the Child Abuse and Communicable Disease training before the 1st day of employment.
The responsibilities of the Lead Teacher include, but are not limited to:
Provide a loving and nurturing environment for Toddlers and/or Preschoolers ages 1-5 years old
Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean classroom
Plan, prepare and implement age-appropriate lessons using Creative Curriculum
Follow all state licensing rules for family childcare facilities and Inspired Kids Learning Center policies
Communicate professionally with parents and other staff
Record accurate daily reports for each child
Be willing to participate in ongoing professional development
