Regionally based Extension Educators operate primarily from one of Extension’s Regional Offices, with frequent travel throughout the region expected. They work closely with the Extension Educators 4-H Youth Development who are located in counties and tribal communities across the state. 4-H Family and Consumer Science Agent, San Juan County NM

Position is for San Juan County, headquarters in Aztec, NM.
The successful candidate will:
•Conduct Family & Consumer Science programming for both adult and youth audiences in the areas of nutrition, family and health.
•Work closely with the County 4H Agent to develop, promote and deliver 4-H programming; participate in various 4-H delivery modes throughout the county as required; team with other faculty and staff in county CES office to plan and implement total County Extension programs to both adult and youth audiences.
•Support county fair efforts.
•Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to help further Extension Family & Consumer Science programs.
•Recruit, train and support volunteer adult and youth leaders.
•Collaborate with other Extension Agents, with State Extension Specialists, the Northern District Department Head and other administrators as well as outside agencies and organization in planning and implementing the total Extension program.
•Maintain a favorable public image and gain acceptance for self, Extension and New Mexico State University among the county citizens.
• Actively participate and play an important role in the recruitment of students to NMSU and to participate in student activities.
•Administratively responsible to the County Program Director and through him/her to the Northern District Department Head.

Extension State 4-H Natural Resources & Camp Educator

The University of Missouri Extension is accepting applications for the position of 4-H Natural Resources & Camp Educator. 4-H is a youth development organization that centers around three mandate areas of STEM, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Healthy Living, and Civic Engagement. Missouri 4-H currently reaches an audience of approximately 60,000 youth with the aid of over 10,000 adult volunteers. The area of 4-H Natural Resources and Camp programming encompasses a wide range contests and events in the area of STEM, Agriculture and Natural Resources. This full-time position will be responsible for the planning and facilitation of state level, hands-on 4-H events, such as state 4-H judging contests, summer programs and educational programs to promote Natural Resources and Camping among youth and families around the state of Missouri. The Teaching Assistant Professor, Equine Science use expert knowledge of horses to teach and/or mentor others in equine programs in a variety of settings and share knowledge of horse behavior, nutrition, health and training to novices who have no experience with horses to those who are very experienced with horses. The position will also develop educational programs, evaluate participants and programs and help students' or members' familiarity with horses grow into career options or workforce opportunities.
