POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Manufacturing Quality Manager will work in the RINATI SKIN, LLC – Manufacturing and QC divisions , and manage the products developed by both Cosmetic and Biopharma divisions of the company and manage the QC section. This position is responsible for maintaining both manufacturing facility and Quality control division of the company and takes care of the logistics of the product supply to the customers. This position is charged with ensuring all the Quality Assurance Systems are fully implemented and monitored and the Quality Control Procedure and Practice are standardized and followed. This role is responsible for the ongoing analytical assessment of all materials, certification of their performance to customers, management of the FDA regulations, Manufacturing norms, and related Quality Control program and staff management. This is an amazing opportunity for a leadership personality who has experience managing the manufacturing and quality control of cosmetic formulations and manufacturing and packaging.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manufacturing & Quality Control Manager will have to

Manage the manufacturing of cosmetic formulation and cosmetic products. The manager will work in the manufacturing facility itself; ensuring goods are efficiently made and meet the company’s standards.
Collaborate with management and employees on innovative concepts to promote creativity; consistently work with abstract ideas or situations across operations, including thorough assessment of intangible variables, identifying and evaluating fundamental issues and providing strategy and direction for product manufacture and continuous improvement
Interface with other departments to communicate, receive and address feedback regarding manufacturing issues affecting operations.
Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-and long-range planning; develop and implement projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.
Provide quotes and Estimated Time to Complete (ETC) with new products as requested from administration; participate in Engineering and production transfer meetings; refine and optimize lab methods to continuously improve cost and quality.
Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices; maintain a clean and safe workstation.
Integrates site harmoniously with support functions, working with Product Production, Testing, Engineering, Development, Maintenance, Quality Control, Packaging, Logistics, Marketing and Research personnel.
Responsible for daily operations; providing leadership, focus and direction to the operations team.
Involved in the hiring and promotion decisions of the employees in manufacturing and QC section; they also determine proper staffing and labor cost levels in the manufacturing.
Maximizes efficiency through the design and implementation of improved manufacturing strategies and allocates assets and resources to meet quality, safety, cost, delivery, volume and productivity goals.
Act efficiently in purchasing decisions, ensuring that the manufacturing center has the necessary materials to create goods at peak efficiency.
Diagnose any customer concerns brought to their attention by the administration; they also help implement new products and designs from the company's product development by the Cosmetic Division.
Must continually inspect and improve operations.
Manage the safety of the staff working in manufacturing and QC divisions. That frequently involves continual inspection of the plant and processes, along with making necessary changes to ensure that efficiency is not compromised by safety and health concerns.
Ensures proper supervision training and inspection is being carried out to conform to 'Current Good Manufacturing Practices' and other relevant FDA regulations.

Must be adaptable, accountable, enthusiastic, and have a strong work ethic.
Essential criteria :

Willing to travel during work hours/ or to work to either of our two venues of the company (Beverly Hills and Hawthorne airport – approx. 15 miles and takes 25 min to 1 hour drive during high traffic ).
Willing to work with other tasks/duty of the company as required, especially to participate in the production procedure, such as to move and lift carboys inside sterile environment, performing scientific cleaning, and anticipate any task during the production, together with rest of the team members.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to speak effectively present information and respond to questions from management at all levels; ability to communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities.
REASONING SKILLS: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Preferred experiences:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology or a related field.
2-5 years’ experience in cosmetic product manufacturing
Experience working in a Biosafety Level 2+ environment is preferred.
Previous exposure to, and demonstrated success in, a fast paced high-growth business environment
Must have experience in a Cosmetic manufacturing or related Consumer Packaged Goods business.
