Wyoming Whiskey Head Blender

The Head Blender & Special Projects Manager, in concert with the contracted Master Blender, is responsible for the quality and consistency of the bottled product distributed from the organization. Their nose and palette are highly developed allowing for the artistic expression that is paramount for the organizations finished products while providing consistency over time for standardized releases and uniqueness consistent with the company’s vision for specialty products. Their knowledge of the complete spirits manufacturing process is vital in an advisement role in all processing aspects, with direct responsibilities relating to Warehousing, Maturation, and Blending to the utmost quality standards while meeting all governmental regulations and documentation requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS (Including, but not limited to):
• Cask dissemination and selection for finished products
• New Product Development Team Member, including selection & product suggestion
• Work with the GM to develop an annual release calendar for product distribution for Direct Shop Sales/Edrington/and Wyoming specific requirements including timing/quantity for distribution of products.
• Advisory Role for distillery New Make Operations
• Warehousing (Stock Rotation, Maturation, Cask Selection, Monitoring, etc…)
• Oversee Bottling & Product Output Operations, including – in conjunction with subordinates – hitting targeted output numbers for finished product cases and required governmental documentation and regulation requirements.
• Sampling, sample collection, grading, and working closely with the contracted Master Blender on projects and product output.
• Special Projects as assigned
• Other Tasks & Responsibilities as assigned
