Bioinformatician - Assembly Delivery for Biodiversity Genomics Europe
CRG
The Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG-CRG) is a world reference center for genomic analysis, with state of the art Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies, including three NovaSeq6000 (the most powerful sequencer in the market), several equipment for long read sequencing, single cell genomics and spatial genomics applications, and an outstanding computing infrastructure. The operation is certified ISO 9001 and accredited ISO 17025. Every year, the CNAG-CRG carries out more than 400 projects in DNA/RNA sequence analysis for the improvement of quality of life in collaboration with the Spanish, European and International Research Community.

CNAG-CRG researchers participate in major International Genomic Initiatives such as the International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC), the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH), the Human Cell Atlas (HCA), the Earth BioGenome Project (EBP), the European Joint Project-Rare Diseases (EJP-RD), the European Infrastructure for life-science information (ELIXIR) and the 1+ Million Genomes Initiative (1+MG), as well as in several EU-funded projects.

It is integrated with the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.

In April 2021, the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) received the renewal of the 'HR Excellence in Research' logo from the European Commission. This is a recognition of the Institute's commitment to developing an HR Strategy for Researchers, designed to bring the practices and procedures in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter and Code).
