GIS Planner
North Central New Mexico Economic Development District
This position will develop an in-house Geographic Information Systems (GIS) program for NCNMEDD.
Additionally, the position will assist NCNMEDD staff and local public agencies in the region with
geospatial information, primarily utilizing Esri GIS software, in support of technical planning and
assistance, regional planning, grant applications, implementation of Regional Transportation Work
Programs, as well as state and federal programs at the local level. This position is located in the Santa Fe office.

Assistant Professor in Community & Regional Planning and Geography
Missouri State University
A tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2024 with expertise in community and transportation planning and geography. A Ph.D. in Urban Planning or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment. The successful applicant will teach an introductory Urban Studies general education course and have the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the department’s Community and Regional Planning and Geography and Sustainability major programs, including the community planning practicum (studio) and transportation planning courses. A commitment to undergraduate- and graduate-level teaching, mentorship of graduate research within the department’s master’s programs, community engagement, and maintenance of an active research agenda are required. Candidates should be willing to work towards recruitment of students into a growing Planning program. Candidates who have experience working with design software or geospatial applications and can incorporate these into courses are encouraged to apply. The candidate should demonstrate an ability to encourage an understanding of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or diverse backgrounds.

Iowa SAFE Program Specialist

The Iowa SAFE Program Specialist cooperates with NHTSA, GTSB, law enforcement and other statewide partners to promote traffic safety throughout the state. This position maintains, cultivates and expands the Seatbelts Are For Everyone (SAFE) program. SAFE is a program designed to bring awareness to the importance of safety belts to young teens across the state. It is a program which partners local law enforcement, area school administrators and students.
