Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager and/or Assistant Director, the Specialist- Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children enrolled at the Wee Care Center. This role follows a set menu, safe food preparation methods, and federal food program guidelines (CACFP) to ensure compliance with nutrition and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate should have experience with food operations, safety procedures, and nutrition guidelines. This position may also include leading and directing the work of others as needed.

Weber State University The Melba S. Lehner (MSL) Children’s School at Weber State University is a model demonstration laboratory center. A mentor teacher is assigned to lead an early childhood classroom... that trains preservice teachers. The mentor teacher role with University students includes observation, modeling, hands-on application, feedback and scaffolding. Mentor teachers work to design and implement inquiry driven developmentally appropriate curricula for young children in their classrooms. This position is a dual role of maintaining a model classroom that meets NAEYC criteria, while also acting as a coach to help WSU students develop research based teaching practices. Additionally, mentor teachers represent WSU in the community by serving as a model and resource of evidence based practice in early care.
The mentor teacher will work under the direction of the Melba S. Lehner Children’s School Director. This position is located on the Weber State University Ogden campus facility working with children 1- to 6-year-olds.
