COMPENSATION/HIRING INCENTIVE:

$30.54 - $40.92 per hour (LCPEA 2022-25 Wage Scale)

$10,000, $5,000 paid at hire date, $5,000 paid upon completion of probationary period (usually 12 months).

Forty (40) hours of admin time and Forty (40) hours of sick front-loaded.

$3,000 moving compensation based on radius of the Lincoln City Police Department.

Police Officer Lateral transfers must meet all entry-level requirements and must have at least completed the Oregon DPSST Academy, or another state’s equivalent of the Oregon Academy, and have successfully completed a probationary period of ONE (1) YEAR full-time paid service as a sworn police officer in a civilian governmental jurisdiction immediately prior to application. **Note: Military Police, Federal Law Enforcement, Corrections and Parole/Probation DO NOT qualify as a Lateral Police Officer.

Duties

Our new teammate will be able to: 

Conduct on-site and telephonic audits based on State and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) standards of criminal and non-criminal justice agencies to ensure state and federal compliance to standards. 

Prepare, conduct, report to agency executive management, and follow up on ACCESS business, technical security, non-criminal justice, and N-DEx audits. 

 Audit against FBI/State standards related to the use of criminal justice information, submission of fingerprints to the state and FBI, chain of custody of records, written procedures, and state agreements in place for Livescan to Western Identification Network (WIN) Automated Biometric Identification System ABIS and remote sites agreements. 

Review criminal history logs and report to terminal agencies their compliance issues and ratio prior to their business audits.

Conduct new agency informational audit and site security assessments.

Ensure all user training records are properly recorded and maintained within the Nextest application. 

Research and work with agencies to verify they meet the requirements to be certified as a criminal justice agency and coordinate this effort with FBI legal staff.  

Attend as a committee member and subject matter expert, workgroups for protection order forms changes, FBI NICS changes, and/or legislative changes upon request.

Respond to customer requests via the ACCESS Email box, work orders, regular email, and telephone.

Run and provide technical reports on system usage and records requests as requested.

Research and provide interpretations for user agencies on topics related to ACCESS usage, including coordinating with the FBI legal staff, audit staff, state Attorney General, and/or other WSP staff. 

Review and provide feedback for manual changes, presentation edits, and contributes to other projects as needed. 

Provide testing for system changes and reports system defects or issues as needed.

The starting monthly salary range within a step system for this position is $6,012.92 - $8,557.58 per month as of July 1, 2023.
