Role Responsibilities


(This position reports directly to the Quality Lab Manager)

Conduct routine analyses in accordance with standard operating procedures, utilizing equipment such as distillation apparatus, titrators, spectrophotometers, density meters, turbidity meters, and other equipment in the laboratory
Set up and participate in sensory analyses (tasting required)
Ensure compliance with TTB regulations
Ensure compliance with Corporate specifications
Adhere to and promote environmental health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities.
Promote and adhere to Food Safety, 5S and ISO standards
Accept other duties as assigned

Outcomes/Success Criteria
• Demonstrate knowledge of general and analytical chemistry
• Must be physically able to safely perform required laboratory duties
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be willing and able to taste alcoholic beverages
• Good sensory tasting skills
• Must be able to function within a team environment
• Must have mobility to access all areas of the Plant, good visual acuity (correctable), good sense of hearing (correctable), and a valid driver’s license

Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum Associates Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science or eqivalent laboratory experience
• Preferred 1 to 3 years experience in an analytical lab or Quality Control environment
• Working knowledge of laboratory techniques and practices
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Computer run lab equipment
• SAP, HACCP, and ISO or Continuous Improvement experience preferred

Maintain working knowledge of EOP’s, fire protection system and emergency shut-off valves in order to handle emergencies as safely and efficiently as possible
Maintain work areas in a safe and orderly manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety regulations
Adheres to and promotes quality, environmental, health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities
Commitment for the Company’s ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.
