Equipment Leasing Business Development Officer
Creative Business Finance We are currently seeking Outside BDOs to call on and solicit business from local independent truck dealers, restaurant, office and medical equipment dealers, or construction equip... ment dealers in the above cities. Some Leads provided.
As a BDO you will be responsible for growing a territory by partnering with dealerships and enrolling them into our indirect equipment financing program. You will be expected to make dealer visits, cold calls and take inbound calls from dealerships to build relationships and capture their business. This will include signing up new dealerships and generating new loan/lease applications. Once you have established these relationships our in house processors will work on the applications and gather additional documentation as needed. Our underwriters work hard to find multiple options for each customer provided they are qualified for multiple offers.
Essential Duties : Build your territory by soliciting business from independent dealers in your area and gaining their participation in our lease financing program Train each dealer and their inside finance and/or sales team on our software program so they can submit customers via our online portal Daily input of sales contacts to the company CRM Attend weekly sales meetings via phone, in person or web meeting software Keep Manager informed about problems, and/or potential issues with dealers or customers All BDOs will build a book of at least 50 vendors/dealers in which you will meet with either weekly or bi-weekly (5-10 per day)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships with dealer principals and decision makers • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills • Well developed business management, presentation and relationship selling skills • High level of accountability and ability to effectively prioritize tasks • Ability to work independently • Strong customer service skills • Dealership operations
