Administrative Assistant, Place Pathway

Boundaries
The Place Pathway is a division of the Community Impact Department at the San Francisco Foundation, focusing on advancing the foundation’s equity agenda through targeted philanthropic o nonprofit organizations and community anchors.

The Place Pathway focuses on retaining the vibrant cultural and ethnic character of communities across the Bay Area by supporting neighborhood and place-based strategies for arts and culture, equitable community development, affordable housing, and anti-displacement. The aim of the Place Pathway is to ensure that the region’s neighborhoods are places where all residents can live, work, thrive and create.

Place priorities are:
Housing: Protecting tenants, preserving existing affordable housing, and producing new affordable housing;

Arts and Culture: Fostering a sense of belonging and connectedness while amplifying diverse voices;

Community Wealth Building: Advance economic empowerment of BIPOC communities, with an emphasis on land trusts and community coops; and Community Anchors: Supporting organizations who reflect and support the communities they serve

Director of Grants Administration
San Francisco Foundation
POSITION SUMMARY
The following sections are designed based on the Results Based Leadership for Racial Equity Framework that the Foundation uses to accomplish our work.

The Director of Grants Administration (“Director”) leads a Team to create and implement effective grant making strategies. The Director establishes and maintains strong and trusted relationships with Foundation Staff, the Board, and external partners to support grant making strategies that effectively advance the Foundation’s Equity Agenda. In partnership with a cross functional team, the Director helps position the Foundation to be a knowledge center and leader on areas that directly impact the community the Foundation serves. The Director is a key member of the Operations Team and will provide guidance to the Foundation’s Senior Leadership Team and Board and collaborates with external counsel on a variety of issues pertaining to grantmaking and the fiduciary responsibilities linked to the Foundations 501(c)(3) status.

Supervisory
The Director collaborates with and supervises the Grants Manager and Grants Associates. The Director fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and is responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; and all aspects of performance management. The Director is also responsible for addressing employee matters in partnership with the COO and Human Resources.

Senior Initiative Officer, Hope SF
San Francisco Foundation
POSITION SUMMARY

Boundaries
As part of the Place Pathway, the Hope SF Sr. Initiative Officer will act as major contributor to the development and implementation of the Foundation’s equity agenda, determining the short- and longterm results, system changes, and the associated strategies needed to achieve them---grantmaking, advocacy, and civic leadership---across a range of issues. The Hope SF Sr. Initiative Officer will also advance the Place Pathway’s goal of anchoring the region’s neighborhoods so that all residents, particularly low-income people of color, can live, work, thrive, and create.

Hope SF Initiative Background
Partnership for HOPE SF was launched in 2007 as the nation’s first large-scale, explicitly anti-racist community development initiative that seeks to center resident voice, build community wealth, and support healthy communities. HOPE SF is a public-private partnership of the Mayor’s Office of San Francisco, San Francisco Foundation, the County of San Francisco, housing developers, City agencies, community-based organizations, residents, and funders. HOPE SF aims to develop vibrant, mixed income communities at four public housing sites - Hunters View, Alice Griffith, Potrero Terrace & Annex, and Sunnydale - without mass displacement of original residents.

Authority
The Initiative Officer will oversee the Hope SF Initiative to manage fundraising, strategic partnerships, strategic planning processes, data/knowledge sharing and grantmaking. This position reports to the Senior Director of the Place Pathway and supervises one full-time staff staff member, and an annual budget of $2M.

Director of Fund Development and Marketing
CFLeads
Reporting to President and CEO, The Director of Fund Development and Marketing sets and guides the overall vision and strategy for all the organization’s development and marketing. This includes working collaboratively with the team to establish fundraising goals, prospecting, and grant writing to foundations, corporate entities, and federal agencies. This individual also leads the marketing efforts working very effectively with the Communications and Digital Marketing Manager that includes website, emails, digital media, print collateral, and public relations outreach. The Director is responsible for executing CFLeads communications plan; developing and maintaining CFLeads organizational brand; the creation of communications content; development of communications calendars and processes; managing the production of all external materials and publications; and overseeing all major communications-related projects.
