National Institute on Aging, NIH We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead innovative, large-scale projects rigorously evaluating longitudinal serum proteomic and multi-omic biomarkers of aging, and ... prediction of responses to aging interventions, in mice. Loads of longitudinal proteomic and phenotype data have already been collected, so this is an ideal opportunity for a computationally-driven postdoc who is interested in developing predictive biomarker signatures of aging.
The Fellow would work primarily in the Translational Geroproteomics Unit with Dr. Nathan Basisty, and collaborate closely with other groups, including the NIA's Study of Longitudinal Aging in Mice, led by Dr. Rafael de Cabo.
NIA is a great research environment for postdocs with ample opportunities for professional and skills development in Geroscience.
Iowa State University We are seeking a motivated and talented postdoctoral fellow to join us to study the developmental effects on aging by using fruit flies and mice as the model organism.
The... Fellow would work primarily in the Kang lab collaborating with Bai Lab in the department of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. This position is going to be funded by Hevolution.
Reach out to me directly at pkang@iastate.eduto discuss the position further. I am happy to meet and discuss during AGE !

Postdoctoral Fellow in Alzheimer’s Disease Research
Medical University of South Carolina My lab is looking for a highly motivated and well-organized Postdoctoral Fellow to lead a research project studying the roles of cellular senescence in brain aging and Alzheimer’s... disease (AD). A growing body of evidence has demonstrated the implications of senescent cells in AD, and a few senolytic drugs are being tested in clinical trials for AD treatment. However, the precise cellular and molecular mechanisms by which age-associated accumulation of senescent cells in the brain may contribute to AD pathogenesis and progression remain largely unknown. The selected fellow will utilize an array of state-of-the-art technologies and a systematic approach, including cellular & molecular biology techniques, multiomics, supper-resolution confocal microscopy, neuropathologic analyses, and AD transgenic animal models, to delineate how senescent glial cells affect amyloid plaque formation, tau pathologies, neuroinflammation and AD progression.
The fellow also can gain and enrich experience in drug discovery and developmental therapeutics by participating in our ongoing preclinical trials aimed at evaluating the efficacy of a selective set of novel senolytics in preventing and delaying AD progression.
Interested applicants please feel free to send your CV and cover letter directly to me at wangy@musc.edu. I’d welcome the opportunity to discuss this position with you at the 2024 AGE meeting.
FYI - Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is in the coastal city of Charleston, South Carolina.
