This person is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Educational programming, which includes implementing educational activities and Montessori curriculum, behavior expectations of students and adults, and communication with parents and faculty.
The Educational Director serves as a member of our senior management team. The role works closely with the Head of School to develop and implement a Montessori curriculum that supports Montessori Principles including anti-racist, anti-bias curriculum and differentiated instruction for all students at each school program level. This person supervises, trains, and provides leadership to Coordinators, Head Teachers, Assistants, Associate Teachers, and Substitutes regarding Montessori philosophy, Chiaravalle curriculum, and their job responsibilities. Additionally, the Educational Director supervises and integrates the Learning Resources team into the educational program to support children in their development in a Montessori program.
This is a fully benefited 12 month salaried position. Long Term Substitute - Upper Elementary

Chiaravalle Montessori is looking for a dynamic, motivated, Long Term Elementary Substitute Teacher to fill a maternity leave position. This person will work collaboratively with the Lead Classroom Teacher and the entire Upper Elementary team to implement the Chiaravalle curriculum consistent with the Montessori Method and principles. The Long Term Elementary Substitute Teacher position is a temporary position tentatively starting April 18th, 2022 until June 3rd. The position is scheduled onsite Monday - Friday from 8am - 4pm.
The Long Term Elementary Substitute Teacher will utilize best practices in the classroom based on current research in child development and education which are appropriate to the learning objectives for upper elementary (grades 4th-6th). The person in this position will work to provide individualized and differentiated learning plans in order to meet the cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual growth of each child. You will support students by implementing strategies and accommodations geared towards the individual child. The Long Term Elementary Substitute Teacher provides students with timely, clear and constructive feedback.
