Manager of Donation Systems
LifeGift The Manager of Donation Systems is responsible for all aspects of organ and
tissue donation for hospital(s), and directly supervises assigned Donation
Systems Specialist... (DSS), In-house coordinators and Medical Record Review Auditors.
In order to maintain effective and efficient organ and tissue donation programs, this position will collaborate with hospitals, community and agency leadership in the continuous improvement of donation systems, as measured by donation outcomes.
LifeGift The In-House Donation System Specialist (IHDSS) is responsible for achieving or
exceeding goals in organ and tissue donation by serving as the in-house LifeGift liaison
... at a high donor potential hospital. The IHDSS establishes effective systems for donation
by developing and maintaining relationships with key hospital partners, coordinating, and
implementing educational opportunities, and developing executive strategic plans in
collaboration with hospital leadership, while ensuring the sustained implementation of
donation “best practices.” The IHDSS is also responsible for the clinical evaluation of
potential donor patients, the collaboration with hospital staff in preservation of donation
options, the presentation of donation options to legal next-of-kin/family support and
obtaining authorization for organ and tissue donation. The IHDSS is expected to spend
most working hours in the hospital(s) carrying out the above responsibilities and other
activities, such as donation follow-up and after-action reviews, process variance
resolution, and “real-time” activities and education.

Multicultural Outreach Coordinator
Center for Organ Recovery and Education POSITION SUMMARY
The position of Multicultural Outreach Coordinator with the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE) is one of moderate to considerable respon... sibility. The Multicultural Outreach Coordinator develops and coordinates communications to positively influence community and religious leaders, government officials, health care professionals and media to increase organ and tissue donation among ethnic minorities. Responsible for coordinating educational programs, special projects, and publications and communication efforts designed to promote CORE throughout the region and increase public awareness of and commitment to organ and tissue donation and transplantation. They will work to ensure that all programs, activities and communication tools demonstrate internal and external support for COREs mission and image.
They will have the ability to develop, implement and deliver educational programs, special events, and communication tools that target COREs audiences, positively predispose the public to COREs key messages and result in increased awareness and consent. Solid oral and written communication skills are required, as is the ability to meet deadlines, understand, track and maintain budgets and goals and objectives of the department. They will have the ability to travel throughout COREs service area including Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Chemung County, New York and work weekends and evenings. They must be able to demonstrate organizational skills, effective use of time/project management and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work with diverse audiences, including volunteers, community partners, students, transplant recipients, transplant candidates and donor families. A commitment to COREs mission and ability to represent the organization in a positive manner will lend itself to the ability to fulfill the requirements of the position.

service area, and effectively interacts with key hospital staff to develop and implement

Specialist II is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring hospital
policies, procedures, strategies, and action plans to enhance organ and tissue donation
