JOB DUTIES
Provide’s evidence-based therapy in addition to art therapy
Attend biweekly artmaking and peer group supervision

QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in art therapy or related field; and
Active, unrestricted credential in art therapy (ATR-P, ATR, ATR-BC) from ATCB
Active, unrestricted license in VIRGINIA (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LCP).
Available to hold 15-25 patient sessions per week
Prior experience in a private or group practice setting highly preferred.
Have interest in pursuing or already completed training in DBT, CPT, RO DBT

This position is part of a cluster hire in the department aimed at strengthening the department’s capacity to conduct research, teaching, and student development in the areas of equity and access in behavioral health and community-based approaches to behavioral health. We seek a scholar who will conduct research, advise, teach and supervise students in the Art Therapy master’s program beginning August 1, 2025. Minimum Qualifications • An earned doctorate in Art Therapy or related field, such as Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, or Clinical Psychology by August 2025. • Demonstrated experience working with marginalized and minoritized communities and detailed evidence of a commitment to social justice and equity frameworks. • Demonstrated record of research productivity and teaching commensurate with rank and experience. • Evidence of external funding or potential for funding, commensurate with rank and experience. • Licensed or license-eligible as an art therapist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. • Eligible for Board Certified as an art therapist (ATR-BC) • The ability to effectively advise and supervise master’s and PhD students. • A willingness to be part of a collaborative team dedicated to advancing student success Preferred Qualifications • Experience in teaching at the university level and evidenced ability to teach courses consistent with the mission and vision of the Art Therapy Program. • Active membership and engagement with professional organizations
