The Center evaluates and manages patients with a wide range of GI motility disorders from the tri-state area and is the largest in the city.
Responsibilities for the position include providing outpatient psychological assessment and intervention for a variety of conditions, including functional heartburn, GERD, belching disorders, gastroparesis, chronic nausea, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic constipation and pelvic floor conditions. Providing interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, and diaphragmatic breathing is an integral part of our approach to treatment combined with pharmacologic and endoscopic therapy. Opportunities are available for teaching/supervision as well as research collaboration. We are seeking candidates who are independent, highly motivated, and have strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
The position comes with a salary commensurate with experience. Telehealth/Remote options will be incorporated.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and be licensed in New York State. Clinical training in cognitive-behavioral therapy and experience working within a multidisciplinary medical team encouraged. Experience in gastroenterology, chronic pain, and chronic medical illness is preferred but not required.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Department of Internal Medicine at University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking an Open Rank physician to perform gastroenterology services at the Morsani Center and Tampa General Hospital. This is a full-time 12-month salaried faculty appointment and carries with it attending staff privileges at Tampa General Hospital.
CLINICAL: Provide General GI ambulatory clinics, inpatient call/coverage, endoscopy time, clinical teaching for medical students, residents and fellows in clinic, endoscopy center and hospital wards.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral/Medical degree from accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
