The Neuroradiology Division, with 15 faculty and eight fellows, operates a high volume, high profile, and growing clinical practice with primary responsibilities for all neuro imaging including CT, MR, and intervention. Facilities are excellent including state-of-the-art CT, MR (1.5 T and 3.0 T), DECT, and CT-fluoroscopy. The Division hosts a strong Spine Interventional Service, which serves a growing patient population with referrals nationwide.

The Division is integral to Neurosurgery, Neurology, Pediatrics, Otolaryngology, Radiation Oncology, and Psychiatry with associated multi-disciplinary conferences and collaboration.

Multiple outpatient sites offer routine advanced imaging technologies and provide facilities for outpatient fluoroscopic- and CT-guided procedures. The Palo Alto VA hospital is also an important part of the planned growth at Stanford and supports numerous specialized research programs. The successful candidate will have an MD or MD/PhD degree(s) or equivalent, and will contribute their clinical expertise at the Stanford Healthcare inpatient and outpatient sites. Responsibilities will include clinical service, teaching, and, if applicable, scholarly activity. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with and teach medical students, residents, and fellows and lead clinical interdisciplinary conferences. The selected candidates will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.

The selected candidate should demonstrate a commitment to building a strong academic career and to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The candidate will supervise trainees and provide outstanding teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows at a top radiology and neuroradiology-training program in the country. To accomplish this, the department seeks candidates who have clinical expertise in all areas of neuroradiology. The selected candidate will provide clinical services primarily at the UCSF Moffitt/Long Hospital, but may also include clinical work at other UCSF Health and UCSF affiliated sites.

The position requires a MD degree (or equivalent), ability (or eligible) to practice medicine in California, completion of ACGME-accredited fellowship training in neuroradiology (completed by appointment start date), and expertise in neuroradiology. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology. Applicant materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission. The selected candidate(s) must meet all of the qualifications by the time of the faculty appointment start date. Faculty are also expected to obtain a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Neuroradiology after the start of their faculty appointment, when eligible.
