ES Music Teacher (Early Years Focus)
UNIS Hanoi UNIS Hanoi is looking for an ES Music Teacher (Early Years Focus) to teach the youngest learners at our school. The EY Music program takes place within a dedicated EY Music room in our EY12 Centre for the Arts and is well supported and valued by the school community.

Our three gorgeous music rooms with lots of natural light each have three practice ro... oms for individual or small group work. They are large enough to leave a full class set of Orff instruments set-up, a full class set of tubanos set up, and still have plenty of space for movement. We are well-supported by Administration and have a 990 seat beautiful Fine Arts Theater (where 2nd-4th perform) and a smaller multi-purpose space/Little Theater (where PS-1st perform).
Our pre-school students have music 2x/week for 30 min. in a mixed 3/4 yr. old class. Our K-4 students have general music 2x/week for 45 min. Each grade level has one concert per year. Grade levels taught are discussed each year, though we are all involved in Grades 3-4 due to the complexity of performances.
Our robust after school program offers guitar, ukulele, leveled string classes, Children’s Musical Theater for Grade 4, a Grade 1-2 Choir, and ISM Sing!—a Grade 3-4 Choir. Each team member is involved in at least one of these activities.

When a colleague is unable to set cover work this is then done, either by yourself or another department colleague, and that a member of the department is in attendance at the start of each lesson covered to ensure the covering teacher is supported. • Monitor the setting of homework, house points and sanctions through the appropriate school systems, and address any issues identified. • The Head of Department is expected to ensure the department is maintained to a high standard visually including the displaying of students work, display boards in corridors and classroom displays.
