Position Summary
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join a team of highly skilled clinical social workers and provide medical social work and behavioral health support to adult patients at our outpatient oncology clinic. You will be joining a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team who meet weekly to process cases, support each other’s work and empower one another. The team takes turns to go to clinical trainings and has supportive leadership. Prior oncology experience is a plus and we will offer training to the right candidate.
This is a position for the professional social worker that involves the evaluation of psychosocial needs of patients/clients and their families, and provision of diagnostic/preventive and treatment services including individual, family, and group therapy. Also provides complex discharge planning, coordinates aftercare services, and makes referrals for other community services based on the treatment plan. You will work in collaboration with other health/mental health professionals and provides consultation to the treatment team regarding patient/family social and environmental needs. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with institutional and social work/clinical counselor policies. May supervise other social workers, students, or other staff.
