The successful candidate will assist with county-wide and subarea planning projects addressing complex transportation issues. The CCMPO is county-wide and is housed in the offices of the Centre Region Council of Governments. The area is known for its high quality of life and is home to the main campus of The Pennsylvania State University, and many cultural, and outdoor activities close by. The Senior Transportation Planner will be responsible for a variety of transportation planning duties and will focus on the county-wide bicycle and pedestrian planning projects. The position has a high degree of independence and works collaboratively in a multidisciplinary office with land use planners, a sustainability planner, and other professional staff. The positional also provides some support to the CCMPO committees, COG committees, and the COG General Forum.
