The Sonoran Prevention Works Harm Reduction Outreach Worker will conduct street outreach and case management with people who use drugs in their assigned region.

Taking a harm reduction approach, the Harm Reduction Outreach Worker (HROW) will develop client-centered goals with people who use drugs and follow through with client-centered services and referrals. Services offered include but are not limited to: overdose prevention education, transportation, employment skill building, healthy relationship education, wound prevention, and warm handoffs to other services.

This dynamic role requires proficiency in verbal and written communication, street outreach, persistence, fostering a person-centered approach, and creative problem-solving. The HROW represents the company professionally and positively to enhance and promote the core values and mission of Sonoran Prevention Works. Reports to the HROW Program Manager.

HIV Bilingual Outreach Specialist - Turning the Tide Program

Terros Health is pleased to share an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Bilingual HIV Outreach Specialist working in our HIV Prevention Program at our Indian School location. Reporting to the Program Supervisor, the ideal individual is flexible, compassionate and professional. The purpose of this program is to increase engagement in care for racial and ethnic minority individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) and/or co-occurring substance use and mental disorders (COD) who are at risk for HIV or are HIV positive and receive HIV services/treatment. The program also aims to contribute to the nation’s achievement of the 90-90-90 goals regarding HIV status and treatment. The focus of this program is on high risk populations including racial/ethnic minority populations, such as black young men who have sex with men (YMSM) (ages 18-29), and other high-risk populations such as Latino YMSM and men who have sex with men (MSM) (ages 30 years and older), and gay, bisexual, and trans-gender individuals who have a SUD or COD who are HIV positive or at risk for HIV/AIDS.
