The Mid America Heart Institute (MAHI) at Saint Luke’s Health System (SLHS), Kansas City is seeking a board certified/board eligible cardiologist with advanced training in Nuclear Cardiology. The candidate will be joining six nuclear cardiologists - Drs. Tim Bateman (former president of ASNC), Randall Thompson (former president of ASNC), Kevin Bybee, Iain McGhie, James O’Keefe, and Brett Sperry. Nuclear Cardiology is within the Cardiology Service Line along with Cardiac CT and MRI. The department has 4 nuclear cardiology laboratories located in each of the SLHS hospitals across the KC metro area. Each site has PET-CT and SPECT capabilities, including digital PET at 2 locations. All studies are processed and interpreted centrally at the main campus with about 8000 nuclear studies performed annually (the majority PET). All the laboratories provide comprehensive nuclear cardiology services including flow quantification with PET myocardial perfusion studies, F18 FDG PET studies for assessment of myocardial viability as well as infective and infiltration processes; attenuation-corrected CZT and Anger SPECT myocardial perfusion and pyrophosphate studies for our Cardiac Amyloid Clinic. The program is supported by dedicated physics and IT expertise.

The applicant can request a percentage of time be dedicated to clinical research through our unique Clinical Scholars Program. While expertise in additional cardiac imaging modalities is not a prerequisite, accommodations will be made according to the applicants training, expertise and interests. The group and institution are affiliated with the University of Missouri - Kansas City, and the cardiology group is an integral component of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Programs.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work under the direction of a physician and perform a full range of nuclear imaging for our Mobile Cardiac Imaging Program. Local travel will be required throughout southern California, including occasional overnight stays, as needed. The individual in this role would be reimbursed for all gas mileage and hotel accommodations would be paid for by Cardiac, Imaging, Inc.



Candidate must be local to the greater San Diego area. Relocation expenses are not offered for this position.

Requirements
Must be certified by or eligible for the nuclear medicine technology certification board (NMTCB), ARRT (N) Certification
Must be a graduate of an approved nuclear medicine program
BRACCO certification preferred
RSO experience preferred
3-5 years work experience is preferred
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Practice Management Systems
Ability to work well with others in a professional manner, within a team oriented environment
