This position oversees the Comprehensive Cancer Program's state and federal budgets, including the National Cancer Prevention and Control Grant funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, assuring the responsible use of resources and ensuring that program goals and objectives are planned, met, evaluated and reported in a timely manner. The Manager provides leadership, effective supervision and mentorship, and human resource management services to three FTE Program health educators. This position oversees coordination and collaboration with internal and external partners engaged in cancer and chronic disease prevention and control issues, which includes a close collaboration with the New Mexico Cancer Council. Program and Council initiatives have a special focus on addressing issues of health equity in New Mexico.
