Experience in working with patients dealing with addictions is also important, and the ability to prescribe buprenorphine medication treatment for opioid addictions is a strong plus. Experience or interest in working with queer and transgender populations is also a strong plus.

Casa de Salud Casa de Salud is launching a one year fellowship for family medicine physicians interested in culturally humble, anti-racist healthcare, new systems of care, quality improvement, ... and provision of high quality primary care, integrative healing, and addictions treatment. Candidates encouraged to apply are recent family medicine residency program graduates, as well as physicians with clinical and non-clinical work experience. Spanish proficiency is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be an excellent clinician, excited to work in a transdisciplinary team, interested in systems change and creative approaches to health and healing, and will be a natural leader.
