The NOAA Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassador program provides a new level of engagement for youth aged 13-18 committed to ocean conservation and stewardship of our blue planet. We are looking for enthusiastic youth with new ideas and a unique perspective who want to learn more about America’s underwater treasures and share their passion with others. Together we will use enhanced ocean and climate literacy to make a difference in the conservation of the ocean through marine protected areas.

Marine Data Manager/ Associate Research Scientist

The section Physical Oceanography of the Polar Seas invites applications for the position of a Marine Data Manager / Associate Research Scientist in the framework of the Helmholtz funded project Southern Ocean Salinity–Isotopic Fingerprints and Impacts on Global Climate (SOS-iClimate). The position will be part of a joint research group between AWI Bremerhaven and LMU Munich and placed at AWI. The goal of the position is to build a novel data base from compiled historic and new seawater stable isotope samples from the Southern Ocean, and quantify measurement offsets and uncertainties in the data.
