Athletics Academic Coordinator
Norfolk State University Norfolk State University’s (NSU) Department of Athletics, a NCAA Division I-FCS institution, with15 sports, and approximately 300 student-athletes, invites applicants for the posi... tion of Academic Athletics Coordinator. NSU’s athletics programs compete in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).
The Athletics Academic Coordinator reports directly to Associate Athletics Director for Administration/SWA and is a member of the department’s academic support staff.
Responsibilities: Incumbent’s duties and responsibilities include:
1. Coordinates support systems and services for academically at-risk student athletes (i.e., tutoring, learning disabilities and student counseling).
2. Tracks and documents student athlete’s academic performance and facilitating the organization and implantation of individualized study and review sessions.
3. Develops and implements systematic application of learning interventions and study strategies in the areas of time management, learning styles, critical reading, and note and test-taking.
4. Serve as athletics academic advisor for an assigned team.
5. Help coordinate services to proactively address the needs of students with accommodations and liaison with campus office of Disability Services.
6. Adheres to Commonwealth of Virginia, NSU, NCAA and MEAC rules, regulations, and policies.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, communications, student development, special education or similar discipline, or equivalent combination of training and education that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience. 2. Experience working with under-prepared students in an educational setting. 3. Knowledge of learning techniques and study skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of learners (including those with educationally impacting disabilities). 4. Skilled in the use of various computer software, including Microsoft Office suite.

Works independently and prioritizes and completes ongoing tasks following established departmental, Ohio State University, Conference, and NCAA guidelines and university policies. Specializes in working with students from a variety of sports, including neurodivergent students and students from underserved communities. Works collaboratively to develop, implement, and monitor student-athletes’ individualized academic support plans, which may include weekly learning specialist one-on-one meetings, objective-based study hall, and academic tutoring support for assigned student-athletes. Supports caseload of student-athletes utilizing a self-regulated approach that promotes active learning strategies to develop and enhance critical thinking, close reading, and academic writing. This individual will be responsible for conducting one-on-one academic meetings, teaching learning strategies, and addressing academic needs. Specific duties beyond the day-to-day work with assigned caseload of students will also include but are not limited to active involvement on the educational services team coordinating summer programming, assisting with tutoring needs, and leading conversations on adjustment of support for students. Develops and implements learning interventions and study strategies in the areas of time management, critical thinking, reading, and writing, taking notes, test taking, and other academic needs at the college level.

Video Coordinator, Football
University of Texas Assist with videotaping all football practices and games while breaking down opponents' videos, including, but not limited to, self-scout.
Assist with filing flight ... plans for drone flights during practice and piloting drones during practice.
Maintain video library, both archives and current files and data and assist in the management of all other aspects of video operations.
