CHEO is recruiting a Department Chief and full-time pediatric radiologist to actively lead clinical care, teaching and research in the Department of Medical Imaging. Professionalism, attention to detail and a commitment to excellence are the trademarks of our practice.
The successful candidate will lead a department with 13 fellowship-trained physicians who provide the complete range of general pediatric imaging and a full range of subspecialized services. Approximately 86,000 exams are performed annually in the Medical Imaging Department. The Department Chief at CHEO oversees the safety and quality of care provided as well as the medical staff within the department. Position:
The position is for a general diagnostic radiologist to join our primarily hospital based practice. The group provides service for St. Boniface, Grace, Concordia and Misericordia hospitals and an outpatient sports medicine facility. The hospital practices are high volume and include CT, X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and MRI (at our two tertiary facilities). MRI is covered by subspecialty service. Competency in basic body interventional procedures (imaging guided biopsies and drainages) would be an asset. Position description
The McGill University Department of Diagnostic Radiology and the Department of Radiology at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) are seeking a dynamic fellowship-trained Diagnostic Neuroradiologist for a full-time position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical) to join the Division of Neuroradiology. This faculty appointment will be part of the Contract Academic Staff. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. This position does not confer eligibility for tenure.
The successful candidate will be practicing at all sites within the MUHC network of hospitals.
The MUHC Department of Radiology houses four 3T MRI systems, five 1.5T MRI systems, two PET-CT scanners, 10 CT scanners and 30 ultrasound units. It houses approximately 800 beds and performs more than 500,000 radiologic procedures per year.
The Neuroradiology division presently has 7 members, all of which are fellowship trained in Neuroradiology, with 2 having additional Neurointerventional expertise.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical activities, teaching, and research activities in Diagnostic Neuroradiology. Due to the heavy volume of highly complex cases, the candidate is expected to be self-sufficient and independent. The position start date is effective immediately. The ideal candidates will have completed a dedicated body imaging fellowship, with multimodality experience involving image guided procedures. Preference will be given to candidates who have had practical work experience in body imaging.
