Job Description
The Dean of the Bolte School of Business (BSB) will provide strategic leadership to achieve the University and BSB's strategic goals. He/she will develop the School's academic reputation, provide an outstanding student experience, and ensure an affirming environment for faculty and staff development. The BSB Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the Business School, reporting directly to the Provost and Vice president for Academic Affairs.
The Dean supports, supervises, and evaluates all full-time and adjunct faculty and staff in the Bolte School of Business. As a member of the Provost's senior leadership team providing university-wide leadership, the Dean works effectively within a shared governance model with other University leaders, including the other school Deans, faculty, and members of the President's cabinet. In addition, the BSB Dean should work closely with key stakeholders to develop focused and long-lasting external relationships that support the growth of the School and University goals and objectives.

Assistant Professor of Sociology

The Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology at Columbus State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology position. Specialization within the field of sociology that includes a focus on social services, gender and sexuality, health, and community development, research methods in sociology, and statistics in social science research. is preferred. Responsibilities

Candidates who have experience with a variety of teaching methods; have knowledge of, or experience working with culturally diverse groups; and have a strong desire to incorporate undergraduate students in their research and/or service activities are preferred. Specializations are open. Normal teaching load is four classes per semester in both introductory and upper level sociology courses. Courses may be taught during daytime and evening hours, using a variety of modalities such as face-to-face, online, and hybrid.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Sociology. ABDs will be considered, but degree must be completed by the effective date of appointment. The ideal candidate should have college-level teaching experience, evidence of scholarly contributions to the fields of sociology and a commitment to undergraduate student research.

Associate Professor of Criminal Justice

Assistant Professor of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Columbus State University seeks applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology. The start date for this position is August 1, 2023.

The proposed doctoral program is designed to prepare graduates for licensure as clinical psychologists, with an emphasis on Military and Veterans psychology. The successful candidate will foster an environment of professionalism and collaboration, work continuously to improve psychology education, and assist in the development of the PsyD doctoral program.

Assistant Professor of Geography & GIS
Columbus State University
The Department of History and Geography at Columbus State University invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of GIS/Geography. The successful candidate will primarily teach upper and lower division courses in GIS, and they will have opportunities to teach World Regional Geography courses as well as occasional upper-level courses in cultural and urban Geography. The candidate will serve as the coordinator for the GIS Certificate program and will have considerable scope to help develop and expand the study of GIS in the region.
