Math Special Ed Teacher

Bishop O'Connell is seeking a special education math teacher for the 2021 -2022 school year to work with students receiving expanded services.

A degree in special education and teaching experience in special education are preferred. This teacher will work with students with disabilities to include intellectual disabilities, emotional and significant learning disabilities teaching small group classes of students with academic abilities ranging from 1st through 6th grade.

Special Education - tenure track position
Eastern Illinois University
Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses and supervise public school practica in a Special Education state, CEC, CAEP standards based program. Courses require integration of theory with practice and involve supervision of public school/agency practica. The most desirable applicant will have a strong background in special education, instructional strategies K- 21 and/or early childhood, language and assessment across severity levels, experience with standards based personnel preparation, curriculum development and program evaluation.
