The COO serves as senior-level strategic operations and finance leader for our rapidly growing agency. The Community Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Communications & Marketing Manager in executing communication strategies aimed at enhancing awareness and engagement within the Sacramento LGBT Community Center. This position, within the Development & External Affairs Division, involves working closely with various teams across the organization to coordinate outreach efforts, produce marketing materials, manage online presence, lead campaigns, manage interns, and facilitate community engagement activities. Director of Youth & Family Programs is responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting the Center’s youth and transitional aged youth and family programs (YFP), including support groups, Q-Spot youth program, community resource navigation, bilingual outreach, youth enrichment events, and creating new family-oriented programming. They supervise a team of 3-4 staff, interns, and volunteers who primarily work in-office. This position serves on the Leadership Team and the Program Leadership Team, working collaboratively with their peers to achieve organizational goals and priorities. The YFP works in partnership with Center program staff, volunteers, stakeholders, and community members, providing a safe and affirming space and innovative programming that supports LGBTQ youth and TAY (ages 18-24), leading to improved overall health outcomes.

The candidate has the exciting opportunity to envision and implement the next chapter of service to the LBGTQ+ community in Santa Barbara County. They will set the course for the organization using new approaches to inclusivity, intersectionality, and advocacy. Overseeing an annual budget of $1.8M and approximately 10 passionate and talented staff members, the ideal candidate is an adaptable and approachable leader who advances the organization's mission in the community. The incoming Executive Director will continue to foster and empower the team while looking for opportunities to improve programs, policies, and organizational culture.

The Executive Director should have a history of working in the field of LGBTQ+ community support and/or advocacy, DEI, or other human services. The ED will lead strategic planning for the agency and diversify funding with a focus on establishing a major donor program and seeking new funding sources as well as continuing relationships with existing funders and community partners. The Center is expanding its mental health programs and seeking licensed mental health clinicians to provide onsite and telehealth counseling services, document progress, utilize short-term models in treatment planning, and serve on-duty walk-ins, and crises, as well as general information and crisis telephone calls. The On-Call Housing Advocate is responsible for supporting the implementation of daily programming within the housing continuum. The On-Call Housing Advocate would support the implementation of structured group programming, crisis intervention, and employment/academic readiness services. Low-barrier services are designed to reach disconnected LGBTQ+ transitional-aged youth (18-24 years old) as the program is rooted in community building, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction models. All program participants have experienced physical and/or sexual abuse, homelessness, engagement with criminal justice and/or foster care systems, substance use/abuse, and/or mental health challenges.

The On-Call Housing Advocate reports to the Director of Housing Services and works in partnership with other programming staff and community members of diverse backgrounds. This is a part-time, non-exempt, grant-funded position. On-Call Housing Advocates will be expected to provide their availability upon hire. On-Call Housing Advocates will be expected to work open shifts, as requested by the Director of Housing Services, as it aligns with their stated availability.
