Executive Director
Pacific Pride Foundation
You know what an Executive Director does. This one is in Santa Barbara, CA (which is beautiful and expensive). The current ED is taking some time to rest and heal after 20 years of movement work.

The next ED of PPF will inherit a legacy of dedicated professionals who have given extraordinarily for the benefit of our community. They will inherit a capable staff, a skilled and appropriately engaged board of directors, honest relationships with funders and donors, and a solid financial position. PPF has a $1.8M annual budget with $500K in multi-year funding for the next 2 years, plus money in the bank, and an endowment.

They will also inherit the hurts and harms of a 50-year old organization, as well as a broad suite of programs, complex relationships with elected officials, and a geographically,  demographically, and socioeconomically diverse service area. The role calls for a high-capacity leader who wants to do the work of movement building and advocacy as we enter the 2024 election cycle, while also maintaining, expanding, and transitioning programs.

PPF is constantly working to model its values in the following ways:

● Commitment to access, especially through language justice. (PPF is on track to meet its goal of becoming a fully bilingual organization by 2024, meaning that anyone who wants to access its services can do so in both Spanish and English).
● Serving as a voice and advocate for harm reduction. (PPF is the county's first and only syringe exchange.)
● Embracing Community Centric Fundraising principles. (PPF has moved away from a gala to relationship-based fundraising.)
● Viewing our budget as a values statement.
● Adopting a “collaboration-first” model of program development.
● Paying appropriate pay differentials for staff who use multiple languages.
● Incorporating radical rest through a fully-paid 4-day work week (currently at 4.5 days).
