This position will serve as an LGBTQIA+ subject matter expert focused on raising awareness of LGBTQIA+ equity and all forms of oppression, organizing support for community and policy initiatives, increasing the visibility of Center programs and services, and providing LGBTQIA cultural humility training with an emphasis on healthcare, education, faith, public and nonprofit social service agencies, and anti-racist organizations. JOB SUMMARY:
The Center is on a rapid growth trajectory, expanding its mental health programs to include onsite and tele-health therapy. The Center is looking for licensed mental health clinicians to serve within the Health Services Department. Primary responsibilities include individual, couple and
group counseling services, documenting progress, utilizing short term model in treatment planning to the greatest extent possible and serve on-duty walk-ins, crisis, as well as general information and crisis telephone calls. The Mental Health Clinician must be able to work independently, under pressure, and with absolute confidentiality and discretion. Some evenings and weekends are required. JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Sexual Health Testing Counselor and Case Manager provides HIV and STI counseling and testing. Triage HIV-positive patients into medical care and provide case management. Coordinate, schedule, and conduct outreach events to specifically target Black gay and bisexual men and transgender clients of color; and create and sustain working relationships with businesses and community members where outreaches will be conducted, primarily in South Sacramento.

This position contributes to program goals to increase awareness, decrease HIV/STI infections in the LGBTQ community and provide support to those living with HIV/AIDS. In select instances, the Sexual Health Testing Counselor and Case Manager will serve as a liaison to various groups and community partners, in particular the Black community of South Sacramento, as well as supervise a team of dedicated interns and volunteers. JOB SUMMARY:
The STEP Coordinator and Case Manager (SCCM) is responsible for supervising, scheduling, and supporting the Housing Advocates within the Short-Term Transitional Emergency Program (STEP). The STEP Coordinator will also work with a six (6) client case load including (but not
limited to) implementing daily programming, crisis intervention and referral services, leadership development, and employment/academic readiness services. Low-barrier services are designed to reach disconnected LGBTQ+ transitional aged youth, victims of crime as the program is rooted in community building, trauma-informed care and harm reduction models. A large percentage of program participants have experienced physical and/or sexual abuse, homelessness, engagement with criminal justice and/or foster care systems, substance use/abuse, and/or mental health challenges. This position reports to the Director of Housing Services and works in partnership with other programming staff and stakeholders as well as directly with community members of diverse backgrounds. The SCCM may be asked to operate on an interwoven
schedule alongside the Housing Advocates that will work within the Morning (6:30 a.m.-3 p.m.); Swing (2:30 p.m.-11 p.m.); and Grave (10:30 p.m.-7 a.m.) shifts; the schedule with be determined by the needs of the program.
