Under the direction of the Senior Manager for their respective area, serves as a working front line supervisor for the document imaging and records management staff. Provides leadership support and operational oversight to the team. Ensures service with a sense of urgency and drives excellence through adherence to established standards and management expectations. This supervisor will work with the senior manager to set goals and priorities, troubleshoot issues, evaluate quality of team work, review staff work, and providing input into policies and procedures. Within scope of control, demonstrates competence with HIMS IT infrastructure.
Secondary report to the Senior Director, Health Information Management Services.
Document Imaging: Frequent contact with Ambulatory Care (clinics), Inpatient units, ETC, Operating Room, Patient Access Services, ITS, physicians, nursing, and other clinicians.
Record Completion and Support: Frequent contact with medical center and community practice site and referring physicians and their support staff, ambulatory care teams, inpatient units, operating room, patient access, ITS, nursing, and QRRM.
Key Responsibilities include:
Coordinates and provides oversight of all work activities for team members within their respective units. Provides leadership and hands-on support for the team members.
Manages the relevant HIMS infrastructure supporting their respective teams. Troubleshoots and corrects issues within scope of control, ensures proper maintenance, and quickly and correctly escalates issues
